“If dreams were lightning and thunder were desire this old house would have burned down a long time ago”
Greetings from somewhere in the occupied South. I appreciate you stopping by and having a look around. If you set a spell you will eventually find a little bit of everything here at the Wagon Wheel: music, art, history, poetry, photography, shaving tips, college football commentary, and random reflections on guns, dogs, and bourbon whiskey. I might even share a recipe with you from time to time, so don’t be a stranger.
So where is the Wagon Wheel? Physically it’s located on a hill in Macon, Georgia, but we like to think that the Wagon Wheel is more than a place; it’s a state of mind. If you want to find it all you have to do is follow the trail of flour up Hasher Hill and turn left when you smell the pipe smoke and home cookin’. There’s always music playing here, a cold drink being poured, dogs barking and people laughing on the porch. Duane Allman and Elizabeth Reed are our neighbors, but they don’t seem to mind the noise.
